Q: Ack! IOS9 links ALL devices!!
I went through this exercise before, and I can't believe that I forgot this... but when you do a major IOS upgrade on ANY device, Apple thinks you automatically want ALL of your devices to have the benefit of shared information. STOP THINKING THAT! I don't have ANY INTEREST in having my business calendar, personal texts or none-of-your-business emails on the kid's iPad. So once again, this IPad is loaded with information that I don't want to share. So you might say, well, your iTunes and ICloud are signed in on these devices, what did you expect? And I would say, well, ITunes purchases ARE done on my account, as I am the grown up in charge of these things, and ICloud IS one account - mine - I'm not going to have unmonitored iCloud account access for children. So then this actually leaves it up to Apple to take the not unreasonable or inconvenient step of ASKING if these devices want to share information, because now I have to spend time figuring out how to disable access on this IPad, delete the information, not only to keep prying or too-young eyes away, but also to keep their magic fingers from deleting "shared" information. I had an entire family calendar disappear that way - well, presumably that way - somewhere in the interconnectivity of all this information, someone pushed a button and - poof - it was gone, never to be recovered.
So I suppose I should ask a question... Is there a way to stop this from happening in the first place, and how do I clean up the mess on the IPad? Thanks in advance!
Sorry - I couldn't see a specific IOS category...
