problem installing itunes 12.3

Hi

Please can someone help me as I cannot install iTunes 12.3 and iTunes is now not recognising my ipod! When I try to install, I get the following error:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource which is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes 6464.msi in the box below."

I cannot find a folder containing itunes6464.msi

I cannot uninstall iTunes to reinstall it, I get the same error.

I have tried to repair iTunes via the Control Panel but get the same error.

Any help would be very much appreciated and in layman's terms please!!

See this ASC User provided tip concerning issues with iTunes and Windows. You may have to work with a different version of iTunes, but the troubleshooting tips provided by turingtest2 in this document will help. Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

Hi Chris,

I've updated the user tip to include a specific section on Missing MSI errors. These seem to have become more common and may persist through the manual folder removal steps that Apple have previously recommended,

Thank you for your help so far. I have looked at REGEDIT but am not sure what key to continue the steps on. This is what FIND gives me but there are so many strings of letters and numbers! Sorry but I am not knowledgeable in this area so don't want to delete something I shouldn't! I would really appreciate your advice.

In your screenshot the using the up arrow keyboard will change the selected folder from SourceList to its parent folder that ends in C003. This is the branch you want to export and then delete.

Sorry to bother you again, but I have one last question. Should I delete the iTunes registry entry I saved to my desktop or should I restore it? Every time I log on to iTunes now it asks me to install 12.3 again! My version is now 12.3.0.44.
