Try b noir's user tip:

"Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]\
[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows.

The technique can be applied to the branch you want to delete.

The problem with his tip is that he requires itunes to be uninstalled before editing the registry, however, I have the same issue trying to uninstall itunes

I'm hoping you can get the requisite security permissions to delete that registry key. The current state of the rest of the iTunes installation isn't important at this point.

Still nothing, I went through all of those registry permission changed and the last step would not work, would not let me give all users full control.  Still stuck.

I notice from your screenshot that you're looking at:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\...

rather than:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\...

Ignore the first branch and work only in HKLM.

Thanks so much for the answer.  I was dreading depressingly so the complete removal of iTunes and then reinstalling.  This may have been due to an upgrade to Windows 10 from 8.1 and then a return to 8.1.  Thanks Turingtest2.
