ios 9 Can't share multiple photos to Mail from Photos App

In IOS 9 when I go into my Photos on my Iphone or Ipad, I can no longer select several photos and share them through Mail. I can share if I only select ONE pic or I can share if I go through mail and add the pics one at a time, but sharing multiple photos from the Photos App is no longer an option. I'm hoping this is a bug that will be reported and fixed in the next UPDATE. If you're having this issue also, please add your comments to this post so Apple will pay attention and fix the bug. Thanks!

Hi CCAPPL,

I understand you want to share multiple photos from within the Photos app. If you are in the All Photos album, tap the Select button in the top-right corner, choose up to five photos, then tap the share button. If you choose more than five photos, Mail will not be an option. Here is some additional information from the iPhone User Guide for iOS 9.

Other ways to share photos and videos

You can share photos and videos in Mail or Messages, or through other apps you install.

Share or copy a photo or video. View a photo or video, then tap User uploaded file. If you don’t see User uploaded file, tap the screen to show the controls.

Tap More in Sharing to turn on the apps you want to use for sharing.

The size limit of attachments is determined by your service provider. iPhone may compress photo and video attachments, if necessary.

You can also copy a photo or video, then paste it into an email or text message (MMS or iMessage).

Share or copy multiple photos and videos. While viewing by moment, tap Share.

Save or share a photo or video you receive.

  • Email: Tap to download it if necessary, then touch and hold the item to see sharing and other options.

  • Text message: Tap the item in the conversation, then tap User uploaded file.

Photos and videos that you receive in messages or save from a webpage are saved to your Photos tab. They can also be viewed in the Camera Roll or, if you’re using iCloud Photo Library, the All Photos album.

Take care,

Thank you. In IOS8 I don't think I ever had trouble sending more than 5 photos. Is this a new limit? When I tried this the other day I only had 4 selected and mail was not an option. Do you know if it's a size limit vs. a quantity limit?

If this is a new limit, I hope Apple will reconsider. I should be able to select as many as I'd like as long as it doesn't exceed my email server restriction of 25MB.

I recently discovered this restriction. Well I have outlook app installed in which I have my corporate e-mail configured. Lately apple has been restricting too many things for users. Well I think it would be wise to reconsider buying a new apple device. We must conduct deep research and find other better options which make our lives, rather than spending time looking for answers on the community for small things like these.
