Importing items from itunes library. Home sharing is on and itunes help is wrong

I have my old PC and my Apple desktop set up for home sharing. I can't get the new computer to import the music from the old one, and the directions for home sharing doesn't work. Step 3 says show pop-up menu at the bottom of the itunes window and choose "Items not in my library" This does not seem to exist. The only thing at the bottom of the window is item information. Please help!
