Q: High CPU usage
I have noticed that when I check with iStatPro my CPU usage is always high and most often there is only 1% idle, sometimes a little more. Now, my iMac is aging, Late 2009, so I am not expecting very high percentage of idleness, but one or just a few percent? When I check Activity Monitor, it seems like it is launchd, ReportCrash, UserEventAgent and fseventsd who are mostly running up in double digits and sometimes WindowServer joins the party.
I am not expert but I have at least tried to start up in Safe Mode, repairing permissions (it seemed to go down a more normal level as long as I stayed in Safe Mode) and then I reset the SMC and PRAM, but after that it was back to the usual.
Anyone has any ideas and suggestions?
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Final Cut Pro X, Canon HV30

50% ReportCrash
It would appear there is a process that is starting, crashing, starting, crashing, starting, crashing, wash, rinse, repeat. This is what is keeping ReportCrash busy.
You should use the above listed crash reports to identify the process.
Also look at Applications -> Utilities -> Console to identify repeated log entries that might identify the process.
Besides that, you have a ton of 3rd party stuff installed on your Mac. You might want to do some house cleaning on things you are no longer using and use the vendors uninstall instructions.
