    Hi

In order for the watch to be able to connect, the network must be 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz. The watch can't connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi.

You may have had the option - when originally configuring your home router - to set up a single, dual band SSID or to set up a separate network / SSID per band. If you are using an Apple base station, Airport Utility (available via iTunes for your iPhone) should enable you to confirm your configuration.

If you do have a single, dual band network, then other steps to try include:

Resetting network connections on your iPhone. You would need to re-enter all saved Wi-Fi passwords afterwards (at the time of re-connecting to each respective network). To try this, on your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. It may help to restart your watch after reconnecting your iPhone to Wi-Fi.

Unpairing and re-pairing your watch, restoring your watch from backup when offered the option by the Apple Watch app (some data will not be restored - eg Apple Pay cards):

If your issue has not yet been resolved, try these steps:

    • Before starting, ensure that you have made a note of:
      • Your Wi-Fi network name.
      • The type of encryption that it uses.
      • Your Wi-Fi password.
    • With your iPhone connected to the Wi-Fi network and with your watch close by and connected to your iPhone by Bluetooth:
      • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Wi-Fi.
      • Tap on the "i" icon at the right hand side of your current Wi-Fi connection's entry.
      • On the next screen, tap on Forget This Network - allow a few moments.
      • Then, with a short pause in between, disable and re-enable Wi-Fi using the toggle at the top of the Wi-Fi screen.
    • Reconnect your iPhone to your Wi-Fi network.
      • If you have a hidden network (ie the network name / SSID is not broadcast), choose to add the network via "Other", then enter the network name, encryption type and password.
    • After your iPhone has reconnected, allow a short time for the information to be shared to your watch.
    • Test your watch by placing your iPhone into Airplane Mode (via the Control Center or via Settings > Airplane Mode).
      • On your watch, swipe up on the watch face, then swipe left / right until you find the Settings Glance. This should say Connected and show a green Cloud icon to indicate that it is connected to Wi-Fi. Swipe down again to return to the watch face.
    • Take your iPhone out of Airplane Mode when finished.

Hi, is your router broadcasting it's SSID?  If it's NOT, that is the issue.  Won't connect unless is broadcasting SSID.
