Received an e-mail regarding my apple id would be suspended if I did not verify the apple id was mine.  Is this a scam?

Here is the exact wording on the e-mail.  Please verify if this is real or a scam.  Thank you.

We need to verify that this email address belongs to you. Someone just tried to sign into your Apple account from other IP Address. Please confirm your identity or your account will be disabled.
