Daily sending limit error message even when I've sent no emails today

I discovered, after trying to send a group email yesterday, that iCloud has daily sending limits. Very disappointed in Apple. Had I known, I would've chosen gmail, yahoo or another server as my primary email address. I deleted the offending emails from my outbox, but still could not send. I waited till midnight, thinking the count would reset and i could send then, but could not. This morning, same thing. Can't even send an email to a single recipient, although I can send and receive from my phone.


Anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
