In Microsoft Excel, inserting a hyperlink is easy, just right click the cell. In Numbers, I have not found it to be as easy. Is there a way to insert a hyperlink into a text cell in Numbers? Thanks.

In Edit > Substitutions make sure 'Smart Links' is checked.
Then just type the link in a cell.
To edit a link double-click in the empty part of a cell to the right of the text and choose Edit Link from the contextual menu.
Numbers does not support linking to another cell. It will only link to external "web" addresses.

Thanks SGIII, this worked for me. So it seems that you have to type in the link first, then when you go to edit link, you can change the text as displayed. For instance, I want the cell to display "ECSI", but the link to take me to "https://borrower.ecsi.net/". I have to type in the link first, then edit the link to show the text I want. Thanks for the help!
I do wonder why it's that difficult...it seems the Numbers program could do a better job of making that easier.

I'm not sure typing in a link is all that difficult. However, the implementation of hyperlinks could be better. You might consider giving feedback to Apple, via Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu.
