Do Yosemite support HP Deskjet F4480 printers?

I'm trying to print using my Hp Deskjet F4480 printer on the Yosemite Operating system 10.10.5 and the printer isn't being recognized as even connected. I have tried all the troubleshooting Hp and Apple suggest: try a new USB port, try new cables, turn off and on again the printer. My last theory is that this operating system doesn't support this printer. I have even tried deleting the printer and re-adding it but it isn't even recognized when I click the + symbol. Any help??

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Go into the Apple menu->About This Mac Click the "System Report" button and click on USB in the list. Does your printer show up?

Did you just upgrade to Yosemite? Did you update the HP printer support?

How can I tell if my printer shows up or not? I upgraded to Yosemite months ago. Can I go somewhere to find out when I did upgrade? I have the latest HP printer software

This Apple document says the driver for your printer is available for “auto-download and install.” (i.e., you shouldn’t have to download anything separately)

Try Resetting the Print System, then try adding the printer again.

greg:

The driver won't help if Bonjour does not see the printer.

If you go into the system profile like I said, and click on USB, it should show your printer.

When you look at the Usb Devices it should look like this:

Note the "GPIB-USB-HS" that is an external device connected to my computer.

I found this link before and it looks like it doesn't support my HP Deskjet F4480....

Also, I tried that link to restart the Print System and nothing worked because I have later version...10.10.5 and when I tried the link for the later version nothing worked

Also too, when I go to "add" my printer nothing shows up. I don't know how to find the IP address...Even when I type "HP Deskjet" or "HP Deskjet F4480" in the search box, again I get nothing. I even went to the store to try a new USB cord, thinking that was the issue, and still that didn't solve the issue. I am thinking the printer just might be out of commission...

If it is attached to USB, it does not have an IP address.

Assuming your printer is attached, then your systems settings are showing that nothing is there. It is a bad cable or bad printer.
