Voice over control. Can't do a thing and screen blank. Want to launch iPad mini out of window. My son has been crying all evening and I can't fix this!

PPlease help me my son has put voice over control on. His iPad is goosed and has a blank screen so can't see a thing either. Want to scream! Don't have a computer so that suggestion we can't use. It's never been synched and set up over wifi. Feel like launching it out the window!!
If you can't do this:
If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone and use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Then find a computer with iTunes and an internet connection and:
Connect the iOS device to a computer and try to make a backup
Then restore via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
Thanks but finally managed to get rid of the screen curtain which I apparently activated trying to get the screen to unlock when on voiceover. Thought I'd broken it when screen went blank and it was the only thing the voice over never bothered to mention!!! Once I got pic back up I somehow got rid off the unlock by tapping a lot. Then had to google how to get it to accept passcode before could get to settings!! My son will be a happy bunny when he finds out I've sorted it
How do you get rid of voice control when screen black can't see a thing and screen also locked. We don't have a computer so can't fix it that way. iPad mini never been synced to iTunes as set up over wifi
