Q: Photos library not working

For the last month, photos taken on iPhones and camera (when imported) only show up on iMac in "all photos" album, not in "photos" library.  So I can't delete from iMac.  iCloud photo library and My Photo Stream is enabled on all devices.  What am I doing wrong?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Repair your library

If you experience problems with photos in a library, Photos can try to repair it. If problems persist, you can also restore your library from a Time Machine backup.

Important: You should back up your photo library before repairing your library.

 

  • If Photos is open, choose Photos > Quit Photos.
  • Press Option-Command and double-click the Photos icon in the Applications folder (or click the Photos icon in the Dock).The Repair Library window opens.
  • Click Repair to rebuild your photo library.
