Q: Disable activation lock
I have a student who uses an iPad at school for communication. A few years ago, we were able to get one for him to use at home as well. His mom needed assistance setting it up, but they were able to set it up. However, now we are unable to access it because no one at home knows the lock code. The student is moving into a group home who will need to use his iPad with him. I have tried to reset it, but there is an activation lock. The AppleID that mom has used is not the one that is linked to the iPad. She had thought is was dduhon96@gmail.com which is her apple ID but it cannot be used for the activation lock. I believe that it may be dduhon@me.com, but am not 100% sure and no one knows the password. I have tried to reset the password, but have no idea which email the reset information is being sent to...I have tried several passwords they thought may be right, but none have worked. Again it has been years since this iPad was set up and I am hoping there is help out there to make this iPad useful for my student again. I have tried to call support, but don't know if there is a service plan to talk to someone. I am desperate to help this young man out as this is really his only appropriate and meaningful form of communication. If anyone has any suggestion on what I can do or how I can maybe even get to talk to a person about this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
