Soundcloud Podcast Image Not Displaying in iTunes

We recently submitted our podcast to iTunes and it was approved. However, there are a few discrepancies we're seeing between the metadata in our Soundcloud admin panel vs. what is displaying in an iTunes search for our program (i.e. wrong artwork and categorical description):

Steps taken to resolve image:

1. Contacted support@itunespodcasts.com to issue a ticket / request.

2. Validated the podcast without errors via http://feedvalidator.org/

3. Re-uploaded the image as a 1400x1400 PNG and renamed it to hopefully bypass iTunes caching (if that's the issue).

Steps taken to resolve category description:

1. Contacted support@itunespodcasts.com to issue a ticket / request.

2. Burned the feed on http://feedburner.google.com/ and changed the category description.

Would anyone be able to advise on whether or not there is something else I'm missing? Also, does the Feed Burner metadata override Soundcloud's?

Feedburner is irrelevant since the Store is using the Soundcloud feed. The image in this feed is compliant with requirements and is correctly referenced. You say that you changed the filename when you changed the image, which is correct procedure. You don't say how long ago you changed the image: it can take quite some days for the Store to update the cache.

As to the category, the Soundcloud feed has only 'Arts' as a category, so the Store has defaulted to 'Design' as a sub-category. If you want a different sub-category (the Store won't let you have none) you need to pick it from the list at the bottom of this page: your choices are

Fashion & Beauty

Food

Literature

Performing Arts

Visual Arts
