How do I get rid of virus pop up on chrome?

For the past month now I have been getting these random pop ups on chrome from websites saying that I have a virus and to call a number to get help. It would randomly happen for no reason. Clicking on normal links(like clicking on items on Amazon or searching on google) that I would use every single day would trigger these popups. I have a guess that it is probably a virus on my Macbook Pro but I have no clue how to get rid of this problem. I tried going in my history and just deleting the pages but I know that will do nothing to help the problem.

Some of the websites I managed to write down are the following: DON'T GO ON THESE SITES.

gocomputerhelp27

easycomputerhelpnow

myadventuresystemfeed

malwaretips

deletemalware.blogspot

Please is there is a solution I would love to hear it.

Thanks

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
