Two Step Verification in Myanmar - Once activated in the USA what happens if I travel to a country without 2 Step verification like Myanmar?

Hi,

If I activate Two Step Verification from say the USA or Hong Kong but later travel to a country where Two Step is not functioning like Myanmar what happens if I need to purchase something from the App store? I will be using a local SIM card, but I assume that Apple will still recognize my iPhone or iPad. So will I have any problems?
