I cannot get an icloud email address set up in Mac Mail.

i cannot enable my icloud email account in mac mail. I've set it up, but when i try to check the box for "enable this account" in mail/account settings, the box doesn't stay checked.I c

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
