Oct 6, 2015 9:44 AM in response to oooliveeeby payup,Same issue on 2 different phones - 6S and 6S+. Both have frozen in the middle of charging (5 times for 6s, and 3 times for 6s+). Home button gets warm when this happens. The only fix seems to be holding the sleep/wake and the home button for 10 seconds to do a hard reset.
This is the first time since the iPhone was released where I've had to use something other than my phone as an alarm clock

Oct 6, 2015 3:00 PM in response to openthreadsby DanOsers,Just to chime in; same issue here.
Have 2 iPhone 6S, one 64GB, one 128GB. Both on 9.0.2.
The 64GB has had the issue twice so far (with the really really hot home button, needing reset). Hasn't happened once yet on the 128.....

Oct 6, 2015 3:04 PM in response to SLUSaintsFanby roki,I am not using beta software of any kind. Some people here mention that they are using beta software, but certainly not "everyone". This is not a problem with a beta software. If it is not hardware related then it's a problem with live iOS 9 or iOS 9.0.1. I just upgraded to iOS 9.0.2 and I'm holding my breath.

Oct 6, 2015 6:07 PM in response to rokiby SLUSaintsFan,I was not saying everyone who reported this problem is using beta. I was just saying this problem or not you should neaver use any beta siftware unless its on a backup device thats used for testing

Oct 7, 2015 8:26 AM in response to Terfawby TheSpinney,Has anyone checked the Diagnostics and Usage data reports under Settings -> Privacy. There are JetsamEvent reports that someone techie might be able to interpret. From what I can see there are VM thrashing and memory errors immediately preceding such shutdowns. That might suggest software conflicts and would explain the overheating immediately beforehand.
