6s 128 gb 9.1, b2.  Has frozen black screen 2-3x since last Friday.  Hard reboot cures, but stays on apple logo for extended time period.

iPhone 6S 128GB randomly turns off once a day, mostly overnight with plenty off battery. Hoping that 9.0.2 fixes but since installing turned off again. Don't want to reset as when I got the phone restoring from previous iPhone 5 caused hassles. Any fixes on the way?

My iPhone 6s Plus just did this. I tried to access the lock screen via the Touch ID and got nothing. Hit the power button and got nothing. I ended up holding both buttons until I got the Apple logo. Seems to be doing ok now..

We bought two iPhone 6s, one gold 64 GB, one silver 64GB.

The gold one did not have any probelms, the silver one randomly turns off once a day.

    9.0.2 didn´t resolve the problem.

I have the same issue but on the iPhone 6 64G, not the 6s one. Maybe it's a software bug? I could not remember when did I start having the issue but it's quite near the time that iOS9 was released publicly.

OK, that's useful, so it seems not to be a hardware problem.

Phoned apple support about this today as my Rose Gold 128GB one did it early hours of this morning.

They 'claim' this isn't something they have heard of as being an issue  (maybe others should give them a call?)

They ran the diagnostics and said that there isnt any hardware issues on my phone, they did say that my iphone has had a couple of software blips show up though.  He said to call back if it happened again but suggested maybe backing it up and restoring it could help.....

Not happy that they are claiming no one else is having this issue...not cool apple!

Don't worry about it.  I called in yesterday, and the rep told me that she has heard about this before, but the classic, do a restore was suggested.  I noticed that the majority of the time I'm also told that, even when there are like 5 pages of complaints on a certain issue, on the official Apple Support forums, they will say they have never heard of the issue.  Last time I reported an issue, I was told by 2 reps that they never heard of the issue, but 2 days later, a software update was released that fixed the issue.  I think the important thing is that the problem is noted enough times so they will investigate it.

The rep also asked that I enter feedback via the website on issues too this time though. Might be worth others doing it as well. www.apple.com/feedback

Just happened to me again last night.  I had done the same process as before, putting the phone into airplane mode at night turning the wifi back on, wake up and the phone was dead..  The two button reboot did the trick this time though, so that's good.  But, I DID notice that the touchid button/home button was very warm, even though the phone had apparently not really been on.  When I went to bed the phone had 68% power and once I got it working again (after nine hour overnight) it was down to 63%, which leads me to think that something isn't running furiously to take the phone down.  I think there is probably some sort of overheating going on internally and the phone is going into a safety mode.?

I can't seem to find the feedback assistant app on the phone though, shouldn't this be something loaded when on installs the public beta software?

Yes the feedback assistant app should be loaded when it installs the public beta software, but recently, that sometimes doesn't happen.  Just go to the beta profile page on your ios device, and re-install the beta profile, and it will re-install the feedback assistant app.
