Instagram Images All Pixelated

I'm a regular instagram user and I'm fond of using my ipad air with it. I was casually tapping on images I like when suddenly everything got pixelated. Everything: my gallery, the photos on my feed and everything else! I checked it on my 5s and it seems fine. I tried with ipad mini, too; also fine, Not pixelated at all. I haven't updated my ipad air to ios9 yet, still in ios 8, so I thought maybe the resolution of the app doesn't work properly anymore on the older ios. I installed the update, now in ios 9.0.1. I even re-installed it twice. But all to no avail, everything is still pixelated! So, is the problem with instagram? But why does it work properly on other devices? Is it with ipad air? I tried reporting it to Instagram, still waiting for feedback. Been having this problem for about 12 hours now. Can anybody tell me what's going on? Help, anyone?

I've been having the same problem since I did an update on my Ipad this morning. My iPhone is showing images just fine. But on the iPad, the images are blurry and have low resolution (not only my own but everyone on my feeds). I am hoping that Instagram is getting complaints about this (there are LOTS of iPad IG users out there) and will post an update fix soon. It is very frustrating, and there is no way to reach them directly.

I am a mod with hubs and this is affecting more people than what Instagram cares I am sure to imagine. I have posted something similar after 5 days of this and dragging poor Apple into this ... thinking it was my device. I have been experiencing this on 3 pads.. all different versions all with the new update. Seems to reason that maybe we shouldn't update for weeks to be sure that the updates are good???? I know that there are many professionals, general users, photographers, and videographers that are experiencing this and all beyond frustrated.
I have followed this link https://help.instagram.com/contact/371102689635444 and only to find out it caused me to lock up and required me to password reset. This is all getting stranger by the minute.

I Just got a refurbished iPad 4 today And installed ios 9, and Instagram looks terrible. I was worried that this iPad is busted. Everything on instagram looked fine yesterday on my old iPad 3 that was iOS 7 yesterday morning. I no longer have it, so I can't check to see if the update was the issue. I hope this is just some temperary Instagram app issue, since I use my iPad to edit dslr photos for Instagram.

From all that I have found on Instagram, here and a other forum this is a apple / imstagram issue. It started with the new apple update and has escalated. There are many large hubs, general users, processional photographers and videographers affected and even the hubs are experiencing very low numbers in likes and responses over the past 4 days. It's been 5 now for me and even at one point Instagram alerted me saying suspicious behavior has caused me to reset my password. Things are getting messed up more and more by the minute and I can't believe that this has even went on for more than a week now. My suggestion to all mods and everyone went out tonight via my Instagram urging them not to update until this is resolfed

Still no resolution on this. Apple released another update for IOS on iPad and iPhone. I did the update, thinking it would help with the Instagram problem but no luck. I also am waiting for Instagram to post another update for iPad to fix this but nothing yet. It's very frustrating because it's clearly a problem with the iPad only and yet there is no word from either IG or Apple as to a fix. I really feel in limbo. Also, not much online when I Google this. I thought of reinstalling Instagram but someone on a message board said they did that and the problem persisted.

If anyone has a helpful suggestion, I'm all ears.
