why does my calendar show that it is in 2554 BE

You have the Buddhist calendar selected. Go to Settings>General>Language & Region>Calendar>Set it for Gregorian.
If you just did it for the first time after I suggested it, then reset your iPhone.
Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
I say this because I've seen it posted in the past. No Buddhist here! 😁
Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically = "on"
