Hello,
I want to freeze my last frame.
In the project line, I do a control-right click, but it's greyed out in the dropdown menu.
In the library, selected the same frame and did a control-right lick. "Add freeze frame" is greyed out under "Modify.
Help! Thanks!

You can only create a freeze frame in a project timeline

Yes, unfortunately, when I select the frame I want to freeze and bring up the dialogue box, "Add Freeze Frame" is greyed out. That's why I posted this.
Another other suggestions are appreciated.
I can't reproduce your problem using iMovie 10.0.9 though I seem to remember that in 'the early days' of iMovie 10 I did find that freeze frame was occasionally greyed out but usually activated after some fiddling about. Are you running 10.0.9 or earlier?

Which version of iMovie are you using? (the value of x in 10.0.x)

I see that you are using a wrapped timeline, which explains why 'Show Speed Editor' is also greyed out. I can still add a freeze frame in a wrapped timeline but it might be worth checking whether 'Add Freeze frame ' is still greyed out if you un check View > Wrapped Timeline.
Does the problem occur with any clip? Even with stills with Ken Burns effect?

BTW, Slow Motion shows under "Modify" BUT the speed selections are greyed out.
So this feature is inaccessible period. Weird and frustrating.
It seems that iMovie is not functioning properly so I think this is where you should move the iMovie application to the trash (don't empty it) and go to the app store (purchases) and re-download it. This won't affect your library. Only empty the trash after you have the new copy installed and working.
