Sep 30, 2015 7:44 AM in response to PLATUXby Terence Devlin,Although both the iPhoto and the Photos libraries claim to be 100 gigs in size (or whatever in your case) it's important to remember that they use Unix Hard Links to save same. What that means is that they both claim to manage 100 gigs worth of data but it's the same 100 gigs. So, if you want to reclaim that space you would need to delete the iPhoto Library also.

How can I delete only these pics from iPhoto?

Sep 30, 2015 8:08 AM in response to PLATUXby Terence Devlin,The same way as you did from Photos. Put them in the iPhoto trash and empty it. Then empty the system trash.
You might ask yourself why you're working with both libraries.
