Does Apple actually ever provide solutions, or is this forum just a place for us to vent our frustrations? I see so many questions about the error 2343 disaster, and NOT ONE SINGLE HELPFUL ANSWER.
Hey mate,
Much like everyone else on this site, we're being driven crazy by the annoying-ness of the problem, there is one solution. Most people would ask you to uninstall all of Apple's programs, like iTunes and iCloud itself, which in itself sounds like they don't have the problem because you obviously can't do that with the error. Although it needs patching, the solution is simple. The link below is to a program called 'Windows Installer CleanUp Utility', it removes all the associated files from your registry and windows installer. IT WONT REMOVE the program. You have to re-install iCloud by going to the Apple site, also below, and downloading the newest version, installing over the top of it. If you want to then remove it, windows programs and features should help from there. Hopefully this helps, it worked for me.

It solved the problem . Thank you
This tip solved the 2343-installationproblem. Thank you very much!
The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 7.2 does not seem to run on Windows 10 (an neither does MS Fix it tool), any other suggestion to solve the Error 2343 issue?
Run it as administrator. Right click on the exe file and run as administrator. It worked for me
Thank you, I was able to install the CleanUp Utility 7.2 on my W10 machine and finally able to uninstall iCloud without getting the 2343 error message. The trouble now seem to be te re-installation of iCloud... The installation fails with a message saying: "Can not òpen the key UNKNOWN\Components... Check your access rights..." (pardon for the Norwegian)
Hey mate,
Sorry to hear your still having problems. I went over your issue thoroughly as I had the same problem updating Skype. I found you can configure permission settings in the registry and that should do the trick, just have a search for the file path it's given you (i.e. "F855C" first thingos should give you a result). Otherwise after long periods of time messing around with permissions and stuff I noticed that more than 80% of my programs didn't support Windows 10, that being it's a new Operating System and all, so there are thousands of bugs that haven't been squashed. My best recommendation, as I learnt the hard way by messing around with too much, is to jump back to Windows 8.1 or your earlier version. It is a pain in the butt, but it's the only way it solved all these permission problems for me.
Good Luck to any future victims! I hope it doesn't come to booting into safe mode to find out something's not quite right.
I have Windows 10. Tried to use my icloud and getting error 2343-it was suggested I take out the program and reinstall and so I tried-cannot uninstall it-gives me error code 2343. Tried to replace it with an updated icloud from apple and it would not do it-error 2343. Cannot do anything with it and it is messing with my pictures. I cannot sync my mini ipad.
