Bluetooth pairing prompts appearing on my iPhone on their own.

Any time I go into the Bluetooth Settings screen on my iPhone 6s Plus, I get a pairing prompt for some random Bluetooth device which I assume must belong to my neighbor. This just happens automatically. I'm not seeing any discoverable devices in the list, let alone am I tapping on them. Basically some device appears to be initiating pairing on it's own.

Anyone have any idea how to prevent that from happening?

Hi Morac,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like a device is connecting to your iPhone on its own. If a device is paired to the iPhone it will connect when it is in range. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Set up and use third-party Bluetooth accessories - Apple Support

To unpair a Bluetooth accessory, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find the device you want to unpair, and tap User uploaded file , then Forget this Device.

When you Forget this Device on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, that accessory is removed from the list of available Bluetooth devices.

Cheers
