Q: iOS 9 Hotspot problem

Hello,

after updating from iOS 8.4 to iOS 9 I realized that hot spot doesn't work anymore

I've tried

reset network settings - no success

change iDevice name - no success

change hotspot password - no success

I have iPhone 6 64 + iPad Air 2 64

Any idea how to resolve this annoying problem?

Thanks and cheers

Bisser

    Hey Bisser,

I understand that you are unable to use Personal Hotspot and just recently updated to iOS 9. Let's see if we can get this sorted out for you.

With what you have already tired, I would move on to checking for the latest version of iOS 9 and iOS 9.0.2 was just released today. You might even need to restore your iPhone if it continues. Take a look at the article below for details on getting you back up and running.

Thank you Norm your for your prompt reply

Upgraded my iPad air 2 64 cellular to iOS 9.0.2 - no success - hotspot doesn't even setup

Rotate the time wheel for 3-4 minutes and then displayed:

To enable Personal Hotspot on this account contact Carrier.

I put my SIM-card to other iPhone with iOS 8.4 and hotspot works perfectly with my card - obviously the problem is in software

Made restore to factory settings - no success - same issue

    On my iPhone 6 64 with 9.0.1 - hotspot doesn't work too

    Any other idea?

    Thanks

    Bisser

    Hi Bisser,

The only other thing besides contacting your carrier would to also contact Apple Support for further assistance. To contact Apple, take a look at the link below to get you started.
