iPod Touch and iOS 9

Is anyone else having a terrible time with their iPod Touch 5th Gen and the new iOS 9, in particular podcasts not downloading or playing properly??? I'm almost at the stage of giving up on Apple it's so bad. Yet again after an update there are problems, very disappointing, any advice apart from reset will be appreciated. Thank you.
