IPad 2 Crashing after IOS 9.0.2 Update, Useless

My Ipad 2 will hardly run anything since these last few updates. It's been running slower and slower over the past year, with every update. And now it's to the point with IOS 9.0.2, it's almost completely useless.

I've tried all the fixes, reboot, hard reboot, updated on MAC Book Pro.

I personally think for spending almost $1000 less than 4 years ago, I should be able to run simple programs on my Apple Ipad 2.

I've been a faithful customer for years, with everything MAC, and I feel like it's a push to make me by a new Ipad.

Can't you at least give us IPad 2 users updates we can at least use the simplest programs on our IPad2's?

Getting really annoyed.

I've been getting the same exact problems since IOS 9 updates. I have factory reset the IPAD several times and it still crashes in the app randomly. There is no way to roll back the IOS to an earlier pre-9 version so the IPAD is pretty much a door stop right now. Any ideas?

There are no other apps running in the background, I have at least 26 gigs of memory left on this IPAD and the IPAD worked with this App before the update.

Absolute trash! After each update my iPad 2 is working worst and worst, and worst. And actually I didn't need any of the updates I am receiving, it was just working fine before, having everything it needs! Why do you have to constantly change everything we just get used to, and make it even useless! Every time I update my system it changes my settings back to some kind of a default setting... But I ask... WHYYYY? Why should you do this, why do I have to come back and setup AGAIN and AGAIN everytime, and for what? For the device to work even worse after every update??? No more Apple products in my home guys, very disappointed! And I have some more, not just an iPad!

You are not addressing anyone from Apple here.

We are all users like you.

Did you read this posting and try my link for improving your iPad 2's performance two replies above your rant?

My 64 GBs iPad 2 (approx. 18 GBs of free storage left) still works pretty well on iOS 9.3.5.

Have had no isdues except longer than normal boot up time, but once up and running, my iPad 2 is fine.

I have an ipad 3. I just installed new system software on my iMac (10.12.6), because my son and I had gotten new phones. I was upgrading from an iPhone 4s, which had worked just fine for me for many years to the new iphone 7 plus. So, I was informed that I needed to upgrade all of my system software, including iTunes, and the software on my ipad 3. Well, unfortunately for me, this has turned my ipad 3 into a useless BRICK!@!!! I can't even start it up. I try to put in my unlock code, and it crashes. I can't even unlock the thing, and it crashes. Forget trying to run any apps! I can't even open the unlock screen!!! This is so frustrating! First Apple Music destroys my entire music library!!! Now, this stupid update destroys my iPad!!!!! Apple, seriously!?! What is WRONG WITH YOU?!? I mean, I know you all are all about the Benjamins now. But, what happened to customer service???? Did you forget that if you don't have customers, you won't have customers to sell products to??? I am never going to buy another Apple product again. I'm done!!! I have been a loyal Mac/Apple customer for 20+ years, but this last five years has killed it for me. I'm done.

Unfortunately, they don't respond to the technical questions/feedback. I can post questions and feedback til the cows come home, as long as I'm not holding my breath waiting for answers :} They will not be coming anytime soon. I've asked before. I came here, because I was excited that at least someone had similar issues, and may have had some kind of answers, more than just "do a hard reboot". My ipad is doing that all on it's own. Over and over and over and over and over. It won't stop rebooting.

This is normal.

Apple DOES read ALL feedback from users, but they still do not respond with any individual, personal replies.

The product feedback pages are Apple's way of getting a culmination of input and product surveys/feedback from millions of users.

There is no way Apple can respond to every individual user who uses its product feedback pages

Try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

Try turning on Reduced Motion.

This is found in the Settings App in the General tab the left panel.

In the right panel look under Accessibility, the look for Reduce Motion and turn this feature "On".

You should see an appreciable performance increase on all iPad 2, 3 and 4 models.

Good Luck!

Exactly. I had to delete a game I was playing because it crashed every time I tried to play it. I played it fine before the update. It still crashes with other apps as well. I love my iPad 2. All updates worked fine, but this one I feel has damaged my iPad. Of course I would like a new iPad. But I want to keep this one working too. I don't want to feel forced in to a new one. It shouldn't be made obsolete. I would like to go back before the update if it can not be used on ipad 2. After this update I worry that this iPad isn't even a good note pad for all the crashing.

Yes I have turned on reduced motion. I will see how that goes. I have 25,5 available and 1,9 used. Thank You for replying. I just hope my comments can be used constructively and better help in updating our systems. I do love my iPad 2; it is one of the best products I have ever purchased. Battery life is good. I want to keep using my ipad a while longer before I decide on the iPad upgrade in the near future.
