Can a Table be inserted into new Notes app?

I've had high hopes for the new Notes app in El Capitan. Does anyone know if it allows you to insert a Table the way Evernote does? That's a must have option in order for me to switch over from Evernote. I created a table in Pages and tried pasting it in Notes, but it did not retain any of the formatting - so disappointing! Is there a work around?

You can copy/paste tables from Pages and Numbers, though they will not be retained as such when pasted into Notes. The cell contents will be tab separated values (TSV). You can select the TSV content, and then select the first cell of a blank Pages/Numbers table, and paste. This will populate the Table cells and represents the reverse process of adding a table to Notes.

Here is some Notes content with explanation. This is Notes from OS X 10.11.6.

It seems that High Sierra will support tables in Notes (probably to be released around October 2017). Up until now I've either been using tabs to simulate tables or I've used Pages and saving to iCloud to have real tables. If you are registered as a developer, I think you can get High Sierra now. I am not sure if I am a "developer", but I'll just wait for the official release.
