Q: Apple Extreme Time Capsule Networking

Hello.  I am trying to set-up a wired / wireless network using (2) AirPort Extreme Time Capsules and (2) AirPort Extremes.

My "base" AirPort Extreme Time Capsule is connected via Ethernet to my Comcast cable modem as the primary Internet feed.  I have an iMac connected via Ethernet to the AirPort Extreme Time Capsule.

To gain Internet connectivity to other parts of our house, I have a LinkSys Powerline connected via Ethernet to my "base" AirPort Extreme Time Capsule (in back office of house).  I have a second Linksys Powerline connected to another AirPort Extreme (in front of house).  My hope was to simply connect iPads / iPhones to this AirPort Extreme...there are no Ethernet connected computers.

I have a 2nd AirPort Extreme Time Capsule also connected to a LinkSys Powerline via Ethernet.  I have a MacBook Pro connected via Ethernet to the 2nd AirPort Extreme.  Further, my Internet connection is incredibly slow or non-functioning.

I am getting an error on both iMac and MacBook Pro that "The Hostname is already in use on this Network."  I have tried to EDIT the "Computer Name" in SHARING folder.

When I disconnect all PowerLine and AirPort Extreme (2) and AirPort Extreme Time Capsule (1), and only have the "base" station AirPort Extreme Time Capsule active, my Internet connectivity is ample.

Clearly, I am missing something in the configuration of that seems to me to be a pretty straightforward set-up?  Could it be a PowerLine compatibility issue?  Could it be a Comcast issue?  Thoughts?

It is more likely you have the network setup of the Airports wrong..

They should all be set to bridge mode.. only the comcast gateway will work as router to the whole network.

They should all be set to dhcp to get IP on the internet tab and they should all create a wireless network.. they must not extend.

If you have that setup correct it is also possible the EOP adapters are too far apart or on different house circuits.. check by plugging a computer directly into the Linksys adapter and do a speed test.

To troubleshoot further give me screenshot of the setup from the airport utility of each unit..

I need to see all the details so please don't blot stuff out.

I need to see the small summary page.

Then click the edit button and give me screenshots of the internet, wireless and network tabs.
