Q: Can't get iphone to progress in iCloud backup

Why won't my iPhone progress in my attempt to back up to iCloud? It is plugged in and on my wifi.

    How long have you been waiting for the backup to complete? If you haven't backed up in a while, it can take 20-30 minutes, or longer if you have Gigs of content to backup.

    Just before I updated my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 5S to iOS 9, I had not backed up with iCloud for a couple of weeks. My primary backups are with iTunes. It took about 30 minutes to backup the iPad and over 20 minutes to backup the phone. Watching the progress bar was deceptive because it appeared to be stalled and suddenly it just jumped and then started moving so that I could see actual movement on the progress bar.
