Q: Unable to verify iCloud account

Whenever I try to log in to iCloud and enter my Apple id I get a message saying my account isn't verified, and I must click on a button to email me a verification (scoogy@charter.net.) I've clicked on it many times, but never get an email response. What's wrong?

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), MacPro 5,1, with 2.8GHz quad-core
