To get started with this issue where your Mac will not connect to the internet even though you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, I suggest that you start with running the Wireless Diagnostics built-in to your computer.

Using MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Oct 7, 2015 7:26 PM in response to guppienesby Xanymede,No, the problem is still there. I think it has to do more with the gateway. I was using a Belkin router before and never had a problem, now I'm using a gateway from my internet company. I truly hope there's a way to fix this!
