Cannot switch input language with CMD Space

Now I'm running OS X El Capitan and cannot switch between input languages with the same old shortcut, Command + Spacebar. Instead of switching between input languages like it does in other versions of OS X, it seems to do nothing now.

Any idea?

After you go
to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Input Sources

Check only one of "previous" or "next", then doubleClick on the combination (e.g. alt+space) and while in editing mode press "command+space"

You are saved.

P.S. Siri sometimes uses "command+space", so if the above doesn't work for you go first to Siri and change it's key combination then try first steps again.

Cheers

Hi DobaKung,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you are trying to use a Mac keyboard shortcut and it is not doing what you expected. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

This has what shortcuts are available by default.

You can change the shortcut Command + Spacebar by going to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Input Sources > check Select the previous input source.

Cheers
