update to el capitan ... endless loop

Hi all,

i just started the update to el capitan.

Download ok.

Install ... after approximately 30 seconds system rebooted, then on the white screen it told me that the system reboots due to a system error. I should wait a few seconds or press any key.

After this the same. Again approximately 30 seconds, then reboot and the same message. Endless loop.

Bootcamp session still works (so i can write this).

What can i do to get a full and working el capitan, or how can i abort the faulty installation process?

greetings from germany

Chris

Boot your Mac while holding down the Command and R keys. This will boot to Recovery. Choose the Reinstall OS X option. Please wait a while for the re-installation to complete.

Hi fanboy,

meanwhile i have a first suspect ...

I removed the 980 ti and reinstalled the old 5770.

Restarted the mac, on the white screen the progress bar reappeared, and now it is working for much longer than 30 seconds. The critical point is reached and IT PASSED!

Now the bar stands at appoximatley 60% and says 12 minutes more.

So my suspect is the nvidia driver for the 980 ti.

In a few minutes i wil know if el capitan will be installed completely and if it works.

And after this my first look will be if nvidia already has a new driver for 10.11.

greetings from gemany
