Q: sticky notes

I have lost my sticky-notes after I upgraded to el Capitan.

Where can i find these notes? Originally they were situated on the most left desktop, together with calculator, time etc.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

OS X El Capitan seems to first have Dashboard disabled, you'd need to search up in spotlight the app Dashboard, and then it should work from then using a four-finger swipe towards the left.

Hello RyanK055,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to find an app on the computer. If you are missing the notes themselves and not missing the application, make sure you are signed into the account the notes are synced from. Maybe you mean the stickies windows with things written in them are not showing up on the dashboard? Search using Spotlight and launch Dashboard to see if they are there. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

To open Spotlight, click the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the menu bar, or press Command-Space from any app.

I have the same issue, but Mario, I don't think your explanation relates to our issue. If you swipe left on Yosemite, you can view sticky notes, weather, world clock, currency converter etc. Now trying to swipe left does nothing.

Found the solution.

Search 'Dashboard' in Spotlight > Open it up > There it is

Go into settings, then in the top row enter the "Mission Control" option/window
Where it says "Dashboard:" with a drop down menu that is set to "off", click the drop down menu and select "as space"
You can now scroll across to the Dashboard desktop
