Hello! Can anybody hint me, how to change keyboard layout change shortcut in El Capitan back to cmd+space as in Yosemite and previous releases? In El Capitan cmd+space unexpectedly calls Spotlight. Thanks in advance.
It's great example of so called "improvements", that Apple developers regularly use to downgrade user experience from release to release. It's very disappointing.

No, I have another problem. I want setup keyboard layout change (language change) to cmd+space as in Yosemite. But in El Capitan that shortcut (cmd+space) calls Spotlight.

Just change it. Go to system prefs/spotlight and undo the shortcut there and then if necessary activate it in system prefs/keyboard/shortcuts.
Can you explain how to do it? Because I can't find option to change standard keyboard layout shortcut. In system prefs you can change shortcuts only for menu items in applications. So, how to change global system setting as keyboard layout?

What happens when you follow the printed instructions "To change a keyboard shortcut.........."?
I got it. All I need to do - double click on shortcut to change it - on "ctrl+space" in your screenshot. Not double click on description - "Select the previous input source" in your screenshot. I didn't understand it before.

thank you a lot! i even reinstalled El Capitan to change this. typing in 3 different layouts I got sick and tired of the stupid default ctrl+space shortcut.
