Q: Keychain "login" cannot be found to store "xxxxxxxxx".

Upgrade from Yosemite to El Capitan. I get this error when I try to login to iCloud settings inside of system preferences. I've tried Keychain first aid, disk permission reset and verify disk in Disk Utility. I've also rebooted and reset PRAM.

I also get an error "This mac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with "my email @ email.com"

El Capitan + JunOS Pulse seemingly have ruined my wonderful experience on OS X.

Quite a disaster with whatever occurred. Issues with the keychain, VPN not working anymore, and certificate based wireless access also ruined.

Horrible decision to upgrade/update on my part I suppose....

Just upgraded another computer, and noticed the problem indeed seems to come from Junos Pulse. I did reset the key chain (by moving the keychain file out of the way and restarting the system) and it now works again. I now notice that I should NOT save any of my VPN passwords in Junos, or it seems it will corrupt the keychain again. From my experiments, it seems to be the source...

Agreed. When you enter the secondary password there is a checkbox to save save it.  Setting this on appears to be the root cause.  It's a pain, but it just means you have to enter both passwords when you connect, so usually only a couple of times each day.  Keeping the secondary password in a secure note in 1password makes it easy, at least.

"I went to my home user folder and went to Library and found Keychains. I moved every file in there except for Login & Microsoft_Intermediate_Certificates to my desktop and restarted my computer."

    Moved them to where?
