Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
I see that you're looking for the Photos app on your Mac after updating to OS X El Capitan. You can find the application in your Applications folder, browsing through Finder. It might help switching to a list view when browsing your Applications in order to see everything easier.

Oct 1, 2015 1:09 PM in response to alex_h1by ALsings,Thanks, I did as you suggested; however, there is no PHOTO app in Finder under Applications. My iphoto app is still there. Should I use something else like Dropbox to import my photos or some other app? I just need a way to get hundreds of photos off my phone quickly and onto my computer. I'm getting tired of trying to figure out how to install Photos (the NEW Apple photo app) onto my computer.

Oct 1, 2015 1:16 PM in response to ALsingsby alex_h1,Hi Al,
Thanks for checking in your Applications folder. Since Photos should've been installed whenever you upgraded to El Capitan, I'd also like you to search Spotlight for it. If you still get no results, then the only way to get that installed is to reinstall El Capitan.
