ios 9 update battery drain problem

iOS does not send diagnostic data back to Apple, except through syncing it to iTunes. It does not send it over the air.

MY guess is that you have a misbehaving app, as neither of my iPhones exhibit the problem you seem to have.

Hi everybody!

15 minutes of use and nearly 5 hours of stand by. Battery dropped to 46% from 100%.

I 've already tried deactivating background refresh, uninstalled Facebook app, uninstalled messenger app none of those worked however.

5s, iOS 9.1.

OK, I updated to the 9.1 and both the battery drain problem and the calendar problem have been resolved. 🙂

what's your exactly model? I have iPhone 5S 32 GB.

There's clearly something wrong. Have you restored iOS using iTunes?

First, back it up to iTunes, and use an encrypted backup - be absolutely sure you know the backup passphrase! If you have a Mac then go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab, right click on the name of the backup you just made and choose "Archive" (to prevent it being overwritten).

Next, back it up to iCloud (always good to wear belt and suspenders).

Turn off Find my iPhone (in Settings/iCloud).

Then connect to iTunes on your computer, and click Restore iOS. When it finishes set up as a new phone, not from backup (you can restore the backup later). Check battery life for a few hours before restoring anything, to confirm that it resolves the problem. Then restore the archived backup. This will probably resolve the issue. If it doesn't you have corrupt data in your backup and you will need to restore again and not restore the backup. But it's very unlikely that will be necessary.

No mails account configuration except iCloud, no Facebook, no wifi assist, no background apps.

Had you tested the publics beta of iOS 9 and 9.1? Me, yes but nowadays i hace the "normal" 9.1

Yes, like Genius said me, i restored from iTunes in DFU mode and next set up as a new iPhone. Then i go to iCloud setting and put my account to restore the contacts, photos etc..Next, put my AppleID on App Store app to download the purchases app...

I do not know what to do. I'm desperate. The only thing I can think of is to restore not to set it as a new iCloud account and wait to see what happens with the battery.
Go slowly , seeing if it is a problem of any app or as you say, if it's a problem when i put my AppleID on iCloud settings to restore my data.

When you first turn on iCloud it will use a lot of battery to sync your iCloud content, so don't check the battery for a couple of hours. Then fully charge it and check.

i have tried some test but nothing works.

I restore as a new iPhone without any backup restore. New, without apps, airplane mode activated but any app in background.

The battery is fine but in standby drains 50% at night!

Most do not think it is a software problem..

Do you know, if iOS 9.2 beta 1 solves the problem of battery drain on iPhone 5S
