Oct 1, 2015 3:23 PM in response to Deborah Meyerby Old Toad,★HelpfulAre you able to burn data disks from the Finder? Can you read disks, both commercial and those you've burned?
First follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
Then see if you can use Disk Utility to burn the disk image to disc at the slowest speed available.

Oct 1, 2015 3:27 PM in response to Old Toadby Deborah Meyer,Thank you for your help. I did as you said and I was able to burn and then play the DVD perfectly. I noticed that I had one "slideshow" on the main screen that I had forgotten to delete. I deleted it and tried to save as disc image and I get "Errors in Project - there were errors during the project validation that have to be fixed before burning the project". I opened the "DVD Map" and don't see where there are any problem areas.
