Does iPhoto and Aperture work with El Capitan?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), null
iPhoto 9.6.1 and Aperture 3.6 are working well for me on El Capitan.
However, there is a discussion reporting that On Screen Proofing is not working well in Aperture since the El Capitan upgrade - the on screen proofing display is overexposed.

So I will stay some more days on Yosemite, because I don't like the new Photo App :-(
iphoto working well except there is no SPLIT SCREEN functionality that can be used. I cannot get the iPhoto to go into split screen holding the green button at the top left of the window.
That's true. Both Aperture and iPhoto are giving this message, when trying to use them in split Screen:
But that is no hardship for me. I never use a mode, where I cannot see at least 10% of the Desktop, unless full screen mode his required to be able to edit a photo.
