Q: Nvidia Geforce4 mx for Gigabit Ethernet

I have a stock G4 Gigabit Ethernet (400mhz) model running 10.4.11 and I have a spare Nvidia GeForce4 MX graphics card (pulled from my G4 FW800) that I would like to install in it.

I have already made a few attempts but get a black screen on my Acer flat screen display.

I have spent a few hours now researching what may be the problem but have yet to find an answer which is why I came here.

Attempts: 1) Tried DVI (out) to HDMI (in) with no adapters, just a video cord with DVI/HDMI

                2) Tried DVI (out) to DVI (in) with no adapters, just a video cord with DVI/DVI

If this card is supposed to plug and play in the G.E., it may be a bad card now since it was pulled about 4 years ago. Although I stored it carefully, it could just be broke now but it looks to be in decent shape. I could try installing it back in my FW800 for verification.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Genton
