    Hello David,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post I understand you're only seeing the option to share to iCloud when sharing a photo in the Photos app.  Since this happened immediately after installing OS X El Capitan, then I suggest going through the steps outlined below.

Follow these steps in each user account on your Mac to restore Share button options and the Markup feature.

    1. Open the Terminal app. You can launch Terminal from the Other folder in Launchpad, or enter "Terminal" in Spotlight search.
    2. Copy and paste this command into the Terminal window:
      /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -seed
    3. Press Return and wait for the Terminal prompt (ends in $) to reappear. It may take a few minutes.
    4. Close the Terminal app.

If you have another user account on your Mac that has this issue, log into that account and repeat these steps.

If sharing options and Markup are missing after you install OS X Yosemite - Apple Support

    Have a good one.
