I spilled a drink on my keyboard and now the keys are sticky. How can I clean my keyboard? Its not the keyboard on my laptop, its the Apply Keyboard with Numeric Keypad connected to my MacPro laptop.
As well, not sure which community I should be in because there isn't one specific to Apply keyboards.

I hate to say this but the chances are your keyboard is ruined and you will have to replace it. It is a fact that liquids and electronics just don't sit happily together and cleaning off a sticky substance is well nigh impossible. Putting it in rice will not help as the problem is only partly the liquid element.
Really, any other keyboard, you are able to remove the keys and clean them. Can I not do that with a Apply keyboard?
Actually, just figured out that you can remove the keys and I was able to clean the sticky substance.
Yes, you can take off the keys ... but did the offending liquid get any further down into the workings. Only time will tell you that. I didn't mean to condemn the keyboard as such but your initial description of spilling drink on the keyboard gave me the impression that the liquid got everywhere.
Sorry about that. I should have been more specific. I don't think the liquid got down any further. The keyboard still works. Just some of the keys are sticky. I was very quick to turn the keyboard upside down when I spilled my drink. So as I find a key stinking, I remove it and clean it and seems to be better. Thank you.

If, however, the keys start to play up, I'm afraid there are no means of repairing such damage. These accidents need immediate response (as you have done), packing the board in dry rice and leaving it for a couple of weeks. But once you turn it on, the heat generated hardens the contamination.
