Mar 22, 2016 10:20 AM in response to Provider8by bodatcha,10.11.4 has not fixed my problem with static/crackling audio from Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ USB interface on my mid2010 13" MBP. All worked fine before El Capitan. The upgrade also broke my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Not had the heart to try that one out under 10.11.4 yet.

Mar 22, 2016 11:49 AM in response to Nodilisby Achi ,Hey Guys. I had the the same issue with the presonus audiobox usb. The interface wasn't getting recognized by the El Capitan, so i used a usb A4tech hub. That way the computer could see the audiobox but some times randomly was disconnection. I just install 10.11.4 and the interface recognized directly without the usb middle pass.
Seems that the problem solved !!

Mar 23, 2016 8:06 AM in response to Nodilisby flindeberg,I still have USB audio issues after 10.11.4, although less commonly. But still way to often.
I cannot find anything in the logs as well when this happens. Anyone got an idea where to look?

Mar 24, 2016 12:34 AM in response to flindebergby xpndr13,I have just upgraded to 10.11.4 (have been on Yosemite up until now) and I now have constant distortion when running audio through my USB interface (Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1).
AK1 is now a lgeacy product for NI, and there have been no new drivers since 2013, but it's interesting to see that not everyone is reporting that these audio issues are fixed, which leads me to believe the problem is still likely to be on Apple's side. Is it foolish to expect Apple to provide another update?

Mar 24, 2016 12:42 AM in response to xpndr13by dialabrain,I don't know if it will help but you could try running Audio MIDI Setup and changing from 44100.0Hz to 48000.0Hz or vice vera for the Built-in Output.
As far as future fixes, my guess is some have to do with the firmware of the devices not being compatible with OSX 10.11 and that most likely won't change. Just depends on the problem.

Mar 24, 2016 2:17 AM in response to dialabrainby flindeberg,This, ie changing range, works because it resets the driver somehow, but it is not really a solution.

Mar 24, 2016 2:21 AM in response to flindebergby dialabrain,Perhaps. I do know however some devices expect 44100.0Hz and others 48000.0Hz.

Mar 24, 2016 2:37 AM in response to xpndr13by bodatcha,There definitely seems to be a problem with older NI stuff...
Just tried my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and that is not fixed by 10.11.4 either. Very frustrating....losing faith with Apple.

Mar 24, 2016 6:21 AM in response to Nodilisby gonzalo.sanchez,Finally seems Apple fixed the issue with its latest update to ElCapitan.
As many of those who posted in this forum, I had problems with my USB DAC (an uDAC2 from NuForce) connecting and disconnecting after upgrading to ElCapitan.
Among other things, last update (10.11.4) "Fixes an issue that caused USB audio devices to diconnect" and at least in my case it did deliver on its promise.
Cheers,
gonzalo

Mar 26, 2016 4:51 AM in response to gonzalo.sanchezby aytekdorken,With Native Audio 6 soundcard, each gig, I am having this audio distortion issue.
During my last 2 gigs, I happen to check the logs at the exact time of issue happening and catched some related things.
I think I need to share this with Apple Support, maybe it can help them pinpoint the issue.

Anyone got any idea?
