Jun 12, 2016 6:19 PM in response to serbanescuraoulby giorgiomontreal,I used your solution serbanescuraoul for a Presonus Audiobox 22VSL and it worked as you said. As soon as I unplug the device I need to reset the NVRAM. It is pretty bad. I am using El Capitan 10.11.5 on a MacBookPro Retina 2012. If someone finds a solution to this please share.

Jun 14, 2016 2:06 PM in response to Nodilisby nikita119,I've got the same problem since I switched to the El Capitan, my USB-midi device stopped working after several seconds (simple remove/insert USB cable, or resetting midi drivers can fix this problem, but only for several seconds). On OS X 10.10, everything works perfectly. Today I tried new OS X 10.11.6 and mac OS (10.12). And they don't resolve my problem. I don't believe that Apple will fix this bug in the future... It seems to me that Mac OS 10.10 should be the latest OS which I can use. Sounds poor, Apple just ignores such problems, and I am not the only one who faced with them. -
Jun 15, 2016 10:27 PM in response to stubbledby SydneyBaron,Hey Stubbled,
Did this issue get fixed? I've been running Logic Pro X on Macbook Pro and using Zoom R16 as interface. I upgraded to El Capitan OS X last week and have been having all sorts of audio issues with the R16 since. Lots of hiss and fizz during playback etc. I basically can't use the interface. I updated Zoom drivers and it got a bit better, but it got really bad again last night. Any suggestions? The guy from Zoom told me there is basically no solution at the moment.
Thanks in advance of any tips!

Jun 20, 2016 5:22 AM in response to nikita119by nikita119,I bought a USB hub, with additional power support (from adapter). And my problem was solved.
-
Jun 20, 2016 6:20 AM in response to nikita119by 42-,Perhaps different powered USB hubs yield different results. In my case using a powered USB2 hub...nothing but problems. Removing the hub totally resolved the problem where I now have well over a month track record.
-
Jun 20, 2016 7:54 AM in response to 42-by D P Ingram,I am not sure if it necessarily a hub or not. I've had the problem with a powered hub to the Apple mainboard, an unpowered one and also a separate add-in USB3 PCI-x card
You can lose the audio signal when a system alert sound comes, when you've gone away and in other circumstances. However, of course, it is more important adding SIRI to an operating system and purposefully shutting out old, but working systems, such as a Mac Pro 2009, that is still more powerful than a lot of products the iPhone company is coming out with.
Forgive my sour feeling. Apple has managed over the years to turn a "fanboy" or advocate into someone who suffers them. As long as my existing software works and machine can do its job I'm sold. The saving glory is they are not as s--t as Microsoft, yet, but they seem to be rushing in that direction.
Yes, more important for SIRI, so we can say "Hey siri why does Apple not care about pro users and a stable set of basic functions" to which it will answer that it doesn't understand and would I like to buy a pizza or some such nonsense.

Jul 10, 2016 6:29 AM in response to D P Ingramby otsmpotsm,I have several times to disconnect - connect xcore usb audio 2.0 device (XMOS) before Captain EL "see" the device.
How can this be cured?

Jul 11, 2016 10:34 AM in response to otsmpotsmby Lanny,I have been having similar problems with my KEF X300A active speakers that have built-in DACs. I tried switching cables, changing setting settings in Audio MIDI, switching to USB ports, turning off Bluetooth, turning off cell phones, other nearby computers, all to no avail.
I even tried using Yosemite partition.
The disconnects always appeared to be random, generally preceded by clicking noises from the left speaker. However, I seemed to be able to produce the issue by rapidly changing the volume level up-and-down with the keyboard.
I visited the KEF website and checked out their FAQ section. One of the things listed was to uncheck the options for, "Player user interface sound effects." I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but so far I haven't had any disconnects. I also unchecked the option for, "Play feedback when volume is changed."

Jul 11, 2016 1:21 PM in response to Nodilisby otsmpotsm,Apple does not want to ignore the problems of its users.
It remains only one thing: a retreat to a mountain lion.
Steve Jobs, how we miss you!

Jul 18, 2016 4:32 AM in response to aharittby otsmpotsm,I wonder: Apple employees here and stare?
If you read the thread, you will see only the complaints of users. Each describes your problem. Hey! Software developers! Do not kill the legacy of Steve Jobs! Just a few years of such work, and we envy users of OS Windows.
