Oct 23, 2015 3:14 PM in response to Nodilisby Shaman Rawb,I'm having skipping issues with my Native Instruments Traktor Audio 2 USB interface since El Capitan as well.
They did issue a new firmware last month, but it didn't help. I'll keep you all posted as well.

Oct 23, 2015 4:51 PM in response to Nodilisby Eyewire,Yes, I have the same audio issue with my Yamaha CD-S3000 DAC after upgrading to the OSX El Capitan.
The issues I have are:
- Constant drop connection with DAC. Sometime need to reboot the (2012) Mac Mini to regain the connection with DAC.
- Frequently and randomly Audio jittering, then music pause and mute, then music resume where it drop out.
- Frequently and randomly Audio jittering, then music pause and mute, then my Mac Mini just auto reboot by itself.
Does Apple aware this issue? and any fix for this problem anytime soon?

Oct 25, 2015 6:43 PM in response to Nodilisby jhmacart,I have been in contact with Apple Support. I have a uDAC NuForce 2 and it is not working. Apple Support engineers looked at my logs and have determined that the upgrade in the iOS as created issues for these types of universal USBs. They said that Apple has "tighten the constraints around using USB audio device." Basically, tough luck and you should buy an Apple approved device.
This is from the support person:
"I can certainly understand your desire to find a way to continue using a piece of equipment that has worked so well for you in the past. I also understand why NuForce is telling you that “Apple should have no problem with the µDac 2 because it is a universal USB.” However, I cannot argue with what the logs from your own system are telling us. If the engineers at NuForce are willing to review the logs, perhaps they could contact the Apple engineers and come to some more-robust solution."

Oct 25, 2015 6:59 PM in response to jhmacartby Fogtola,This is absolutely ridiculous. The nuforce dac worked flawlessly on Mountain Lion, Mavericks, and Yosemite. There was no 3rd party software to install to use this device it is simply "plug and play" (remember that term Apple?). El Capitan is released, the product no longer functions and it's the engineers at NuForce that need to find a solution? Unbelievable. My dual boot iMac is booting into Windows 10 more and more these days.

Oct 25, 2015 7:50 PM in response to Nodilisby Eyewire,I just reinstalled my OSX back to Yosemite. Just can not wait any longer for the patch from Apple.
Everyone can follow this article to roll back your OSX from El Capitan to Yosemite:
- Be sure to back up all your music first, as well as other settings (Equalizer etc) and files.
- I did not use Time Machine Recover function, because I want a 100% clean installation of Yosemite.
- I know re-isntall everything is a painful process. But listening to those jittering noise music is even more painful.

Oct 25, 2015 8:45 PM in response to Nodilisby orkaan,The same even after 10.11.1 on my Late 2012 Mac mini with Behringer U-Phoria UMC202. So annoying! Going to find a way to get back on Yosemite, that's amazing.

FWIW, an iMic IS a DAC, despite its name.

Oct 27, 2015 12:51 PM in response to Shaman Rawbby JimmyCMPIT,Does the manufacturer of your card/device whatever have drivers for OS 10.11?
Apple provided developers the code for El Cap months before it released
Developers can choose to either check their drivers code to see if it works, or not, or fix if it's borked or retire the card, or replace it with a new model or abandon the line.
None of these decisions are made by Apple. Furthermore Apple is not going to fix someone else problem for any reason. They released an OS that works with their equipment their software, anything 3rd party is UP TO THE DEVELOPERS OF THAT PRODUCT TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS OR NOT.
if you can find the part in this EULA for 10.11 where it says Apple will fix this please post, otherwise I will show you where it says they will not.
When you clicked agree and didn't read any of this it did not absolve you of knowing it's the responsibility of the developer, not apple to remedy this kind of thing in the event it happens:
O. Third Party Software. Apple has provided as part of the Apple Software package, and may provide as an upgrade, update or supplement to the Apple Software, access to certain third party software or services as a convenience. To the extent that the Apple Software contains or provides access to any third party software or services, Apple has no express or implied obligation to provide any technical or other support for such software or services. Please contact the appropriate software vendor, manufacturer or service provider directly for technical support and customer service related to its software, service and/or products.*
I GET IT, it ***** monkey butts and clearly it's not what any of you want to hear but Apple is not going to reverse course and fix other developers problems, possibly opening the door to causing some other problem. Contact your devices developer and use their forums and see if they can give you a working solution, beta driver or discount on a new whatever it is you need.
