Updated to El Captian

I did the update and now my map app that came with my iMac does not show streets and map just a blank screen and past searches with no picture or satellite. Can someone tell me why there is no map showing or is there something turned off on my end? It was working fine before it showed mu house and map as well.How to resolve this issue please apple reply as well. I know you are probably reading these as well.

Apple Specialists only reply to a topic if it hasn't been responded to for a given amount of time. Otherwise this is a user to user community.



The problem may be due to corrupted Map preferences after the El Capitan upgrade.


Open the Finder.


From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder


Type or copy paste the following:


~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Maps.plist


Click Go then move the com.apple.Maps.plist file to the Trash.


Restart your Mac then try the Maps app.
